UMM/UMW will hold their monthly luncheon and meetings on Tuesday, January 20 beginning at noon.

The Church Council will meet on Sunday, January 25 at 5:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Soup for Seniors
Is an outreach ministry that helps to meet the needs of indigent elderly in our community. This outreach is being revived in & through Southview Church. January 4 through February 1, 2015 the following will be collected in the narthex:
low sodium canned soup, crackers, canned vegetables, canned meats, peanut butter & oatmeal.
Please no glass containers. Bags are provided in the Narthex. For further information please see Mary Edgar Hendren 562-3144.

The Trustees will have their monthly meeting on Monday, February 2 at 7:00 p.m.

Valentine dinner 2015 youth fundraiser will following the 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday, February 15. The menu will be baked spaghetti and choice of red velvet or strawberry shortcake. More information to follow.

January 31st is our next RAM House volunteer day. Please let Gary know if you would like to help prepare or serve lunch on this Saturday.

Ash Wednesday service will be held on Wednesday, February 18 beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Teachers still needed if you are interested in teaching for the first time or return to teaching please contact Ginger Rose at 989-0704.

Street ministry is something all ages can take part in and we would love to have you with us.  Join us on the third Saturday of every month.  Another way to help with this ministry is providing supplies.

1lb. of deli ham  
24 lemonade powder(single mix-in)  
24 indiv. bag chips 
24 oatmeal cream pies  
1 24ct pkg. slice cheese 
24 Gala apples  
24 lunch size paper bags 
48 sandwich Zip-lock bags
December through March, instead of sandwich and chips, we pack homemade chili and dinner rolls for a hot meal.

Fellowship Breakfast  
We will continue to meet for breakfast at K&W Cafeteria, Crossroads the first Thursday of each month.

The College Ministries are now accepting snacks to be sent as exam care packages.  We have 6 students.  A Box will be provided in the Narthex for your donations. 

Preschool is selling boxed coffee & tea to raise money for playground rubber mulch.
Each packet is $10.00. Order sheet is on table in educational hall.

HVAC/Fellowship Hall Repair Update: Contributions for the heating & air condition unit replacement for the education wing & repair work for the fellowship hall are still being received. To date we have received: $13,441.00 toward our total goal of $24,000.00 to replace the HV/AC unit & repair work on fellowship hall The HV/AC unit cost is $13,588.00 & repair work on the fellowship hall should be approximately $10,000.00.

Burial plots at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens are available for purchase. These two plots were donated to the church. If you need more information please see bulletin board in the Narthex or contact June Lawlor 562-0341.

Giving envelope reminder: please write your name on the outside of envelope so your giving will be credited to the correct name.
