Roanoke District Conference-Sunday, November 23 at Bonsack UMC, 3:00 p.m.  Part of the Roanoke District Conference will be a Stop Hunger Now food packing event open to all to participate in.  Questions, see Pastor David.

Two volunteers are being sought to change messages on church sign by Peters Creek Road on an ongoing basis. If you'd like to help out please see Pastor David Ford.

Southview UMC will host the annual Roanoke District pastor's Christmas luncheon on Wednesday, December 3. Volunteers are needed to help with serving and clean-up. See Pastor David Ford if you’d like to help out.


UMW ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DINNER
Sunday, November 23
The United Methodist Women will host our annual thanksgiving dinner to be held after the 11:00 a.m. worship service on November 23. Dessert donations will be greatly appreciated. Sign-up sheets are in the Narthex.

Southview UMC will host the annual Roanoke District pastor's Christmas luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Volunteers are needed to help with serving and clean-up. See Pastor
David Ford if you’d like to help out.

Members of Southview UMC are invited and urged to attend the December 7th meeting of the Church Council at 5:00 p.m. to hear the presentation and plan from the group from S.U.M.C. that attended the How to Reach New People Workshop in October.


Teachers still needed thank you to Diane Bowles and Kim Newcomer for volunteering to teach the winter session of K-5th grade and Al Saladiner and J.R. Rose who have been
teaching for the fall session and have volunteered to teach a little longer. If you are interested in teaching for the first time or return to teaching please contact Ginger Rose at 989-0704.

RAM House Fall Food Drive has begun and ends Sunday, November 23, 2013.  The grocery bags with lists are in the Narthex, please take one with you.  Thank you.

Save the Date Cookies & Cocoa with Santa Saturday, December 20th 4-6:00 p.m.
Registration counts will be needed to ensure all children receive a gift from Santa. Forms will be in the Narthex beginning next week.  If you are interested in volunteering to assist with this year's Children's Christmas event, please contact ginger Rose 989- 0704/.  Several volunteers will be needed. Deadline Nov. 30.

Christmas Poinsettia orders are now being taken.  This year we will place poinsettias in the Sanctuary from Sunday, December 14 through Thursday, December 25.  The cost per 7" pot is $8.00.  Order deadline is December 7.  Forms are in the Narthex.

Street ministry is something all ages can take part in and we would love to have you with us.  Join us on the third Saturday of every month.  Another way to help with this ministry is providing supplies.

24 lemonade powder(single mix-in)

48 sandwich Zip-lock bags
December through March, instead of sandwich and chips, we pack homemade chili and dinner rolls for a hot meal.


Fellowship Breakfast  
We will continue to meet for breakfast at K&W Cafeteria, Crossroads the first Thursday of each month.


The College Ministries are now accepting snacks to be sent as exam care packages.  We have 6 students.  A Box will be provided in the Narthex for your donations. 


Preschool is selling boxed coffee & tea to raise money for playground rubber mulch.
Each packet is $10.00. Order sheet is on table in educational hall.


HVAC/Fellowship Hall Repair Update: Contributions for the heating & air condition unit replacement for the education wing & repair work for the fellowship hall are still being received. To date we have received: $13,441.00 toward our total goal of $24,000.00 to replace the HV/AC unit & repair work on fellowship hall The HV/AC unit cost is $13,588.00 & repair work on the fellowship hall should be approximately $10,000.00.


Burial plots at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens are available for purchase. These two plots were donated to the church. If you need more information please see bulletin board in the Narthex or contact June Lawlor 562-0341.
