Day School Spring Program
Day School spring program will take place during the 10:30am Sunday service on March 26th.

Easter Egg Hunt
Easter Egg Hunt children's event scheduled for Saturday April 1st here at the church. Party will start at 10am and egg hunting at 11:30am. Donations of plastic Easter eggs and candy are needed. If you would like to give money you can donate on-line to Children's Ministry or by check. Please bring needed items to the Narthex by March 26th.

Easter Baskets for Women and Children's Shelter
Easter Baskets for Women and Children's Shelter—the SV UMKids will be making and donating Easter Baskets to the Rescue Mission. Their goal this year is to make 36 baskets. Please see flyer in Narthex for items needed by age group. All donations need to be turned in by March 26, 2023.

Sunrise service, 7am in Church parking lot in front of the Cross & Flame. Please bring a chair if you prefer to sit. Melrose Baptist Church will join us.
Easter Breakfast 7:30am at Melrose Baptist Church. We will all go across the street to enjoy some breakfast.

The church office will be closed on Easter Monday, April 10th.

Easter Lilies
Easter Lilies for the Sanctuary can be purchased to remember or honor a loved one. The cost per plant is $10.00. Fill out the form located in the Narthex with your payment and place in offering plate. Order deadline is April 2nd.

Huntington Court
Huntington Court has an Arthur P. Cooley Scholarship Fund available for any member of HCUMC and SVUMC or current staff member being admitted as a full-time or part-time student to a degree program in an accredited college or professional school. Applications must be received by March 31, 2023. Please contact the church office for an application.

Alta Mons Summer Camp

Youth Retreat of the Valley Ridge District
Youth Retreat of the Valley Ridge District is scheduled for Friday and Saturday February 17th 19th at Virginia Tech. Middle and high school youth groups are welcome to attend. Must register online at https://www.vtwesley.com/signup. Cost is $20 per person

Southview Sneakers

SV Board Meetings
The SV board meetings will take place on the 4th Wednesday of each month, starting January 25th at 7 pm in the Library.

GROUPS

L.I.F.E. Groups (Not meeting at this time)
What are life groups? Loving Individuals through Fellowship and Evangelism. You weren't created to do life alone. Being part of a L.I.F.E. Group means having people you can talk to, depend on, and explore God's Word with. Getting plugged in with a group is a great place to start when looking to get connected. If you're new to the concept, a life group is 10-15 people who get together (mostly) weekly to explore faith and do life together. If you're wondering what your next step is after coming on a Sunday morning, you've found it. We really believe that taking the step to join a group will be a decision you won't regret.

Kroger Plus Card
We need your support to collect funds for the church by swiping your Kroger Plus card. Go to Kroger's website (Kroger.com) and in the top right of the opening website page, click on Sign In-or-No Account. Register. Create your account if you do not already have one by entering your email address and password and entering Southview as the company you are supporting. That's it!

By swiping your regular Kroger Plus card the Church receives 5% cashback on your total grocery purchases.
